This is a labour of love, indeed, borne out of the struggles, pitfalls and successes on my path to home employment. Myself, I am a single mother with two very precious reasons to pursue home work. One is 14 and the other is 9. It is a true thing that they are old enough to tolerate my absence, but sure as I am alive I am not believing that their age mandates it. We enjoy each other’s company as every royal family should, so why seek to be apart?
As a sole parent, my responsibility to the royal family is beyond the mere gathering of coin, extending also to moral, spiritual, and emotional welfare. I do not desire to relinquish my influence to another family, institution or peer group; I wish to be that which shapes the lives of my own children. How else is it that they will learn to be as olde world as I?
I did not start here though, my friend, Lady Raven has been through much turmoil and change these last years. When I took a notion to divorce my philandering husband, my days of being a stay at home, homeschooling mother ended out of the need to avoid starvation. I had dreams now, but dreams leave a very empty belly. I turned my hand to a few trades outside the home for about three years and believed the dream inside my soul to be futile and nearly gone.
However, as the good Lord above would see to it, I lost my position and found a less than friendly job market awaiting me. Also inside me the desire to be at home was rekindled. ‘Twas this that spurred me on to seek at home positions during my paid unemployment period. Along this journey I was dismayed to find many scams, false promises and shaky businesses scattered amongst untrue, misleading and useless information being peddled for way too much. Frustrating and embarrassing it was to wade through the garbage and “get-rich-quick” schemes while I marked the path through the Internet jungle.
It is my sincere wish that this website would save yourself or someone you love from such an experience. It is a true thing that each family must decide what is to be done based on the economic, emotional and situational facts they themselves experience. However, if you are finding yourself considering a “telework” situation, gentle traveller, I am believing it a worthwhile venture. Dreams need not meet death, my friend. They need only change to suit where we are in our lives right now.
